Why Recon exists

The industry had products. It needed more people who listened.

Recon Tactical Gear began with a simple observation: tactical gear should not have to be expensive to be useful, and buying it should not feel impersonal.

We saw a gap between large tactical companies and the communities they served. There was room for better explanations, honest recommendations, stronger service, and a company that remembered the person on the other side of every order.

Our goal is to bridge that gap by pairing good gear with clear information and a community-first experience. We would rather recommend the right piece once than chase volume for its own sake.

Our Mental Health Foundation

MindFrontTogether is a community-focused foundation built to connect people with mental health support, practical resources, and outreach that meets real needs.

The foundation serves military members, veterans, first responders, and civilians who need someone in their corner. We've raised over $8000 on Whatnot alone to support these efforts, and have made a tremendous impact far and wide across the country. Its website is the home for the mission, current efforts, support information, and the ways the community can take part.

Recon helps move that mission forward through dedicated Whatnot fundraisers, community tips, special auctions, and direct contributions. The support raised helps fund trauma-gear distribution, first-responder outreach, veteran support, and more accessible mental health resources.

No. This is a showcase for Recon, our products, and our mission. Current inventory is sold through our Whatnot live shows.

What products are made specifically for Recon?

Our featured in-house lineup includes the RT-1 Windlass Tourniquet, the compact Eclipse Scout EDC flashlight, and the large full metal-body Eclipse Ultra flashlight. Many more time come as time goes on.

Does Recon only carry its own products?
